Brussels

Hello everyone,
The flight to Brussels was uneventful. 35000 feet, 100 mph tail wind, 600mph ground speed, and an exterior temperature of -60F. It always amazes me how cold it is only 6 miles up in the air. The coldest that I have yet to see was -87F last winter over Ireland. We met with Hideki, Michie, and Kohdai Ishikawa for dinner at a resturant called Les Brassins. I had read about their rabbit stew in the New York Times but, unfortunately, there was no longer rabbit on the menu. Chock another one up for the New York Times travel section. The chef of Les Brassins did not know of the article in the Times and suggested a different item in which he uses a similar sauce. It was great! So were the several glasses of Trappist beer. The hotel at which we are staying is three blocks from the Grand Place. It was wonderful to see it again. Brussels is doing a good job keeping the old city in shape.
2nd day: Here are some pictures that we took this morning while walking around near the hotel. The mannequin piss of course, and photos of the grand place.
